Explore the Tweed Hinterland Villages
Starting at Tumbulgum, the historic meeting place of the waters on the beautiful Tweed River, we experience parts of the Tumbulgum Heritage Trail before heading into the heart of the Tweed Valley for a full-day history tour. The morning views of Mount Warning are majestic, and you can see why it is called Wollumbin, or Cloud Catcher.
Our next stop is the village of Uki, where we explore the village’s history and hear some of its unique stories at Art Post Uki. From Uki, our next stop is the fabulous Tweed Regional Museum at Murwillumbah, where we experience the interactive Natural and Cultural History of the Tweed Exhibition before heading to Bucks Farm, an organic bush tucker farm in Chillingham. Enjoy a delicious coffee, guided tour, and lunch at Flutterbies Cottage Cafe in Tyalgum.
We continue our scenic drive on the back roads of the Tweed Valley via Stokers Siding to Burringbar, where we stop at Heaths Old Wares and Tweed Valley Whey Farmhouse Cheeses for the last stop on the tour.
