Covid 19 - Health & Safety Policy - 01/07/2022

iconTweed Escapes is registered with the NSW Government as a Covid Safe Business, after downloading, completing, and registering a comprehensive COVID-19 Safety Plan: Commercial Vessels, accredited by the NSW Government.

The following information has been submitted to the NSW Government, as part of our COVID-19 Safety Plan. This plan has been updated as at 01/07/2022.

Tweed Escapes cruises & charters adhere to the Covid 19 Fact Sheets distributed by Roads and Maritime Services NSW (RMS NSW) and all NSW Government and health advice.

This means all visitors to all of our experiences are no longer required to check in using the Service NSW QR code.

It is also no longer a requirement to check vaccination status on entry to any of our venues or experiences.

Masks may be required to be worn on any of our vessels in indoor areas and all vehicles.

We ask for your co-operation in making your visit to our vessels, vehicles and facilities as easy and stress free as possible.

Tweed Escapes adheres to all relevant conditions contained in the following guidelines.

Capacity limits have been removed in NSW, so Tweed Escapes now operates its vessels and vehicles in accordance with its AMSA licences and certificates of operation.

Tweed Escapes aims to reduce crowding wherever possible and promote physical distancing within areas where people are asked to queue, such as our cruise/tour meeting points.

Other measures – Staff

Use a telephone or video for essential meetings where practical.

Review regular deliveries and request contactless delivery and invoicing where practical.

Have strategies in place to manage gatherings that may occur immediately outside the vessel, such as wharf or jetty pick up or drop off zones.

Hygiene and cleaning

We have adopted good hand hygiene practices and ensure hand hygiene facilities are available to customers and staff.

We ensure bathrooms are well stocked with hand soap and paper towels.

We clean public areas frequented by staff or customers at least daily with detergent/disinfectant.

Frequently touched areas and surfaces are cleaned several times per day with a detergent/disinfectant solution or wipe.

Other

Disinfectant solutions are maintained at an appropriate strength and used in accordance with the manufacturers’ instructions.

Staff wear gloves when cleaning and wash hands thoroughly before and after with soap and water.

Record keeping

Tweed Escapes keeps a record of name and a mobile number or email address for all staff, customers and contractors for a period of at least 28 days, in our online booking system. We ensure records are used only for the purposes of tracing COVID-19 infections and are stored confidentially and securely.

Tweed Escapes cooperates with NSW Health if contacted in relation to a positive case of COVID-19 at our workplace, and will notify SafeWork NSW on 13 10 50

Tweed Escapes Health and Safety for Vessel Operations

Tweed Escapes has introduced additional safety and operation measures for our business.

What we are doing:

  • Our staff has increased the frequency and level of all our hygiene and cleaning procedures.
    All surfaces are deep cleaned after every cruise/tour with hospital-grade cleaning and disinfectant products and wiped down prior to the next cruise/tour commencing with iso wipes. Iso wipes are also utilised to wipe down the toilet area during all cruises.
  • All multi-use, washable cups and glasses have been removed from our vessels.
  • Self-serve tea and coffee station has been removed until further notice.
  • Complimentary water dispensers have been removed from our vessels.
  • Hand sanitisers are provided on-board and at the arrival gate. All guests are required to utilise the hand sanitisers prior to embarking and disembarking.

Our Pontoon Boat is available for hire for a maximum of 12 people.

The Spirit of Wollumbin is available for Charters & Cruises for a maximum of 50 persons.

Dreamcatcher is available for a maximum of 100 persons.

Your health is our top priority, and we have put special measures in place to keep all guests safe both during and after your activity.

Stringent Cleaning – We’ve increased the frequency of disinfecting surfaces and high-traffic areas between each cruise, and hand sanitizer will be available to all of our guests.

Wellness Checks – Employees receive daily wellness checks to ensure they are healthy and symptom-free. If you or anyone in your group is experiencing symptoms, we will work directly with you to cancel or reschedule your cruise

Tweed Escapes will provide appropriate cancellation conditions, client rebooking’s, credits and flexible bookings (on a case by case basis) where customers cancel due to COVID-19 issues and restrictions.)
